We leave in 34 days and counting!
We’ve sold almost all our possessions and could put a sizable deposit down on a house if we wanted.
The rough route of our trip is 103,000 km or 64,001 miles.
One mile on the road = 0.25p
We will produce 62% LESS CO2 per day than going about our daily lives in Guernsey
We will pass through 39 countries.
We will cross the equator 5 times.
Most expensive place to buy diesel is Norway £1.52 a litre.
The cheapest place to buy diesel is Iran 3p a litre.
We will drive through 6 continents (Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, North America and Africa)
We will cross the Arctic Circle.
We've approached over 150 sponsors and all (but one) have said NO.
I've had 10 injections and two 'special' drinks of vaccinations for the countries we will visit.

Neat! Another thought I had.. have you verified that your steering relay rod is not one of the faulty rods that crack unexepectedly.. this happened to me... lost all steering at 70kmh..

No surprises on the sponsorship front! But all the same, you should invest in 4 x GoPro Hero cameras with wide angle adaptors and car mounts for inside and outside shots! You also need a 1TB Western Digital external drive and your laptop to store all your clips. What else are you doing to document your trip? These little beauties will allow you to film in HD and capture sequences with the utmost discretion whilst almost being un-noticed. Great for tome lapse in sweeping panoramas and if you get the water-proof housings for them, you can get very creative when filming dramatic car sequences crossing wadis, etc. And don't forget the baby legs for low angle set shots! They also have a battery car re-charger cable!

I'm disappointed you're not coming through Adelaide in South Australia! I would have put you up!

We tried over 150 local companies and a handful of UK companies. The one that has come through (all though we've not seen anything yet and we've not heard anything back from the last email we sent over two weeks ago) was LUSH cosmetics. They were/are going to give us some chemical free shampoos, deodorants, etc
